You are cordially invited to attend the
weekly Sunday services in English at St.Agnes Church.
The service is an
ecumenical eucharist service, open to all. Readings from scriptures, a
discussion sermon, together with meditative music, give the service a
contemplative air. The service takes about forty minutes and is followed by a
coffee/ fellowship time.
St.Agnes Church is a Japanese parish church of
the Nippon Seikokai (Anglican-Episcopal Church in Japan).
The building was
consecrated in 1898 and is one of the oldest churches in Kyoto. It has been
designated by Kyoto City as an important cultural property. One of nine
Anglican parishes in Kyoto, it is the cathedral for the Diocese of Kyoto and
chapel for St.Agnes' School.
