Kapatiran is an organization established for Filipinos living in Japan.
It now provides support for all foreign nationals living in Japan.
Mainly, it provides phone and face-to-face counseling, and when necessary
provides a link between embassy, government offices and hospitals, and
the Immigration Bureau. Also, when the situation arises, provides a
mediation for problems.

It protects clients' human rights, allows them to live their own lives,
helps
them make their own decisions, and provides mental and physical support.
As the number of foreigners living in Japan rises, Japanese and foreigners
are
working together for human rights, and are striving to live together peaceably.

It is one of the projects of the Nippon Sei-Ko-Kai Diocese of Tokyo. It
was
established in 1988. It now operates under the support of the Diocese of
Tokyo.
